Getting started
How do I create a TikAfrika page?
Sign up with your name, email, a password and the link name you want. Your page is live immediately, and you can add links and change your look from the dashboard.
How much does it cost to set up?
Nothing. There is no setup fee and no monthly plan. TikAfrika only earns a 10% commission when a fan sends you a gift.
Can I change my link name later?
Yes, under Appearance in your dashboard. Links you shared before will stop working, so update your bio straight after.
Do I need a business account on TikTok?
You need to be able to add a link to your TikTok bio. If you can't yet, you can still share your link on LIVE, in comments and on your other socials.
Gifts and payments
Do my fans need to download an app?
No. Your link opens inside TikTok's own browser. Fans enter their Mobile Money number and approve the prompt on their phone.
Which payment methods are supported?
MTN MoMo, Telecel Cash and AT Money, plus Visa and Mastercard. All payments are processed by Paystack.
How much do gifts cost?
Gifts start at GHS 1. You can see every gift and what you receive from it on the Gift prices page.
Can I choose which gifts show on my page?
Yes. In your dashboard's Gift menu you can show or hide any gift, or pause gifts completely while keeping your links up.
What happens if a payment fails?
No money is taken and the gift isn't counted. If a payment isn't confirmed within 24 hours it is marked as failed automatically.
Earnings and withdrawals
How much commission do you take?
10% of each gift. For a GHS 10 gift you receive GHS 9.00 and TikAfrika keeps GHS 1.00, which also covers Paystack's fee.
When can I withdraw my earnings?
Any time your balance is at least GHS 20.00. Add your Mobile Money details once, then request a withdrawal from your wallet.
How long do withdrawals take?
Withdrawals are usually paid within a day. You get a transaction ID for each payout so you can trace it.
Is there a fee to withdraw?
No. Withdrawals are free.
LIVE overlay
How does the LIVE overlay work?
Add your private overlay link as a browser source in TikTok LIVE Studio or OBS. When a gift arrives, an alert with the fan's name, gift and message appears on your stream.
Can I use it when I go LIVE from my phone?
Overlays need streaming software on a computer. If you go LIVE from your phone, gifts still arrive and show up in your dashboard straight away.
Can I test it before going live?
Yes. Use the test button in your dashboard to send a sample alert and position it on screen.
Safety and account
Is it safe and secure?
Paystack handles every payment, so TikAfrika never sees PINs or card details. A gift only counts once Paystack confirms the exact amount was paid.
Can I pause gifts on my page?
Yes. Turn gifts off from your dashboard any time. Your links stay live.
Can fans send gifts anonymously?
Fans can hide their name from your public supporters list. You still see the name they entered in your dashboard.
